Scanned PDFs often contain large images. This tool renders each page and builds a new PDF from compressed JPEG images. Choose Balanced first, then check small text in the downloaded file. Smaller uses a lower resolution; Better quality keeps more detail.
Is the result always smaller?
No. PDFs that are already optimized or contain mostly text may become larger. The tool tells you when that happens; keep the original.
What features are removed?
Selectable text, hyperlinks, editable form fields and digital signatures are not preserved. Use this tool for copies of scanned documents, and review every important page.

Keep the original file. Editing may invalidate digital signatures. Password-protected PDFs are not supported.
